Rebuilding of settlements destroyed during fierce battles in 1941 (villages Alabushevo and Chashnikovo were totally destroyed, settlement Kryukovo, villages Kamenka, Matushkino and Rzhavki were badly damaged). Water-pump station and railway station were rebuilt in Kryukovo.

Creation of Zelenograd museum of local history and lore

Creation of Zelenograd museum of local history and lore. In 1992 the museum turned into the state museum. The museum opened at the plant «Angstrem» in 1978 houses interesting materials on city foundation, city-dwellers — participants of the Great Patriotic War, plant history.

The Monument to the Defenders of Moscow was erected

At the 40th km of the Leningrad roadway, close to Zelenograd, there was erected the Monument to the Defenders of Moscow. The Monument consists of crossed bayonets put at the kurgan (burial mount). The obelisk height is 42 meters.

A memorial to Marshall of the USSR was solemnly opened

A memorial to Marshall of the USSR, two times Hero of the Soviet Union K.K.Rokossovsky, was solemnly opened in the park named after the 40th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Mayor of Moscow Yu.Luzhkov, prefect of Zelenograd administrative district A.Smirnov, deputies of the State Duma and the Moscow City Duma, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Marshall's relatives and citizens were present at the ceremony.

Memory Alley Opening
On September, 7, 2009 in the 5th microdistrict there took place an opening of Memory Alley to commemorate Zelenograd soldiers who died during their military service in peace time.

Hounouring and congratulation of the Soviet Union Hero, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Mikhail Moiseevich Kibkalov on his 85th birthday in Culture Palace «Zelenograd».

Pilot Polagushin street opened in Zelenograd
On November, 29, 2006 another glorious page of the city’s chronicle was open. It relates to the heroic past of our Motherland and her glorious sons in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Opening of commemorative plaque in honour of renaming of trafficway ¹ 4912
Opening of commemorative plaque in honour of renaming of trafficway ¹ 4912 into the street of a pilote, the Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolay Ivanovich Polagushin. On the 5th of December, 2002 in the 3rd microdistrict on the house 306 where the Hero of the Soviet Union Polagushin lived there was opened a commerative plaque. Today the former trafficway ¹ 4912 bears the name of the brave pilot who aged 19 took part in warfigting . Over the war years he was shut three times, injured 3 times but he survived and reached Berlin fighting.

The part of Central Avenue from  Square of Yunost to "Zelenograd" special economic zone acquired the name of General Akekseyev Avenue.

Remains of the Red Army soldier of 50 Rifle Division I. Khvorostukhin were buried at the municipal cemetery of Zelenograd. Ivan Khvorostukhin has long been considered to be missing. But all these years his family remembered him.

Zelenograd celebrated Victory Day
May 9, the following events commemorating the 67th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place:  rally raid under the name "Battle of Moscow in 1941 - the start of the Great Victory in 1945" covering places of military glory of Zelenograd and the international rally raid covering hero-cities and the cities of military glory of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Neighboring states made the Vivat Victory Festival of Army Song International

The traditional fifteenth annual festival of army song called "Vivat, Victory!" was held in Zelenograd Culture Centre. It has become the first thematic event that marked the celebration of the 68th anniversary of the Victory Day . The festival was attended by the creative teams from Ukraine, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

All-Russian action "Day of Unknown Soldier" was held in Zelenograd

Volunteers of Culture State Institution of Moscow Youth Republic visited veterans of Zelenograd, the participants of the Great Patriotic War, presented gifts and flowers to them, and took commemorative photographs.

Medallion helped to find a Red Army soldier - a native of Rzhavka village who died in Smolensk
June 11 at the Central Municpal Cemetery, Soldier Stars Memorial, there was held a reburial of remains of the Red Army soldier Alexey Ivanovich Khoteyev, who died in the Great Patriotic War.
